A mom's job is never done. After a tiring workday, your to do list is just getting started. From dinner to that never ending pile of laundry, your stress level can climb quickly. While a relaxing massage would flip your stress switch from high to low, there are other quick ways to alleviate stress.
Here are few mom-approved ways to unwind:
Stretching
You don't have to spend 30 minutes on a yoga mat to de-stress. Just head to a quiet room and spend five minutes alone. Do a few stretches and take a few seconds to breathe. It sounds simple, but any mom will tell you five quiet minutes can rejuvenate your body.
Exercise
Take the kids for a walk around the block or go play a little soccer in the back yard. Either way, getting a little exercise puts your body and your mind in a good place.
Music
Pop the ear buds in and make yourself sit down for a few minutes. Don't worry about the dishes, just sit and listen. Pick a few songs that fit your mood. If you need a little pick-me-up, find some fun and funky tunes.
Taking a few minutes to recharge is huge. You'll be more patient with your kids and find yourself enjoying life rather than slogging through a daily chore list.
